Welcome to the New York Chapter of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship
Monthly Gathering, May 18th, 2008 We will come together for our monthly gathering from 4 - 6 PM at The Village Zendo, on the 11th Floor of 588 Broadway, to share our experiences and practice peace. If you would like to stay up to date on BPFNY's actions and gatherings, please subscribe to our mailing list. Send an email to: bpfny-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Dear friends, We will gather at the United Nations this Saturday, March 22 from 12 to 1 PM for a Spring Peace Vigil. We do so to offer a peaceful presence in the midst of difficult times worldwide. We gather to mark the 5th anniversary of the war in Iraq. We gather to affirm the need for active non-violence, as violence escalates in Tibet and Iraq, continues in Burma and all over this world including the streets of New York City. We do not claim to know what is the answer to difficult political and socio-economic issues. Through our presence, our intention is to offer an opportunity for everyone impacted by these events to pause and reflect, connect with their own heartwisdom, and act in accordance with it. Your participation matters. We encourage you to join and also help to get the word out by forwarding this invitation. We'll send out another announcement, if necessary, with any changes to the format. Questions? info@bpfny.org or call 212-545-4123. On Saturday, feel free to contact event coordinator Judy Seicho Fleischman by cell at 917-667-7644. In this moment, let's pause to appreciate all the ways in which each of us, practicing diligently with heartfelt intention, embodies peace and happiness. This is a precious gift we offer together.
