Vigil for peace in Burma outside United Nations headquarters, October 6, 2007.

Peace in Burma

Buddhist Peace Fellowship NY is committed to a nonviolent response to events in Burma. We continue to support the monks in Burma and the Burmese community in New York.

The global Buddhist Peace Fellowship has a special section of their website devoted to Burma:

bpf.org

The Foundation for the People of Burma sends material support to the monks, nuns, and the families of others caught in Burma’s turmoil. Some of these people are still in Burma proper, and some have fled to the Thai border. In either case, donations can be sent through the Foundation, which is quietly supporting those at risk inside and at the margins of the country. The Foundation, a BPF affiliate, is committed to delivering every dollar of donations to those in need.
